The Education session is the meat part of the Toastmasters meeting. It can be divided into three sections: Table Topics, Prepared Speeches, and Evaluations.
Table Topics is all about speaking without preparation. it can train your brain to think quickly and respond intelligently.
Prepared Speeches are about improving your confidence by speaking regularly in front of an audience.
Evaluations will enhance your listening and critical thinking skills. Evaluations will help the speakers to become better communicators.
The cover photo was taken at the end of one theme meeting a few years. You guessed it right: The theme was Valentine’s Day. We had so much fun that evening. A few people in this photo are still active members or friends of the club.
Actually, we had fun at any given meeting. As our founder, Ralph Smedley said: “We learn best in moments of enjoyment”.
“Time flies when you are having fun”, either in person or on Zoom, that statement stays true.
“A Toastmaster wears many hats” is an excellent resource for all TM meeting roles, made available by Toastmasters International.
